Why Corporate Environments need to Re-Write the Rules for True Innovation Success

As someone who has spent over a decade driving a organisations innovation and strategy agenda, I have to say, for leaders, innovation is becoming a little overwhelming. There is demand for innovation and a demand for the status quo of stable and consistent growth, which creates the conflict of the ‘Corporate Innovation Paradox’.

It doesn’t matter if I’m working for global corporations, utilities, infrastructure organisations or in feature film production — the paradox seems to sneak in, and this in turn dramatically impacts on an organisations ability to be truly innovative.

Of course, the big question is can innovation and status quo of stable consistent growth exist in harmony? I believe they can, but we need to think a little differently about how they interact and work together.
